How to Make Requests

Process for requesting biospecimens from the TRRC:

  1. Fill out and submit the TRRC Biopsecimen Request form.
  2. After your request has been approved by the Research Steering Committee, you will be granted access to the TRRC biospecimen catalogue.
  3. Once you have found the specimens, please submit an excel file of the specimen ID’s to Helen Kuo (hkuo2@partners.org).

NOTE: If your request includes clinical data with identifiers (i.e. MRN, name, age, gender, etc.), please note that you will need to be on the study’s IRB protocol. Please follow the below directions for making biospecimen requests.

Process for requesting biospecimens with IRB approval from the TRRC:

  1. Fill out and submit the TRRC Biospecimen Request form.
  2. Contact Karen Coughlan (kcoughlan@partners.org) for IRB paperwork for you to be amended on the study protocol. (IRB approval can take several weeks, so please plan accordingly.)
  3. Please email Helen Kuo (hkuo2@partners.org) your approval letter from the IRB.
  4. After your request has been reviewed and approved by the Research Steering Committee, you will be granted access to the TRRC biospecimen catalogue.
  5. Once you have found the specimens, please submit an excel file of the specimen ID’s to Helen Kuo (hkuo2@partners.org).
